Mulan Storyline

Mulan is a girl, the only child of her honored family. When the Huns invade China, one man from every family is called to arms. Mulan's father, who has an old wound and cannot walk properly, decides to fight for his country and the honor of his family though it is clear that he will not survive an enemy encounter. Mulan, who just got rejected by the matchmaker because she had set her on fire, decides to prove that she is worth something and steals away to fit her father's place in the Chinese army. She prays to her family's ancestors for protection and luck before leaving as a man in her father's armor with her family's horse. The ancestors awake and decide to send Mushu, a little dishonored dragon to aid Mulan in her quest. Weeks later, Mulan and the other troopers have survived the training camp and are on the way north to stop the huns. After being spotted and pursued by the enemies, an impass situation in the mountains forces Mulan to come up with an idea. But then, her real gender will no longer be a secret. She decides to risk everything in order to save China.

CONT: When Mulan is pulled back onto the cliff by Chien-po and the other soldiers by the rope, the rope is tied around Kahn, her horse. But when Kahn walks away, the rope is still tied to Kahn's body but he moves away freely even though the other end of the rope is under the soldiers.
CONT: During her meeting with the matchmaker, Mulan absentmindedly spills tea onto the table. In the next few shots, the spilled tea disappears.
FACT: When Mulan reads the final admonition and copies it on her arms she writes it in simplified Chinese. However, simplified Chinese has only been created by the government of the People's Republic of China in the 1950s. Mulan should have used the traditional Chinese symbols.
CONT: When Mulan, Ling, Chien-Po, and Yao dress up as concubines in order to defeat the guards to get to the emperor, Mulan is seen to have a green fan. But when she is on the roof with Shan-Yu, she pulls out a yellow fan.
CONT: While singing 'reflection', Mulan takes out her red hair ribbon and flower. At the dinner table, Mulan's hair is held back by a fallen red ribbon. It then disappears

Chi Fu: I didn't know Fa Zhou had a son.
Mulan: Well, he doesn't talk about me much.
[Tries to spit, but ends up with a glop of spit hanging from her lip]
Chi Fu: I can see why. The boy is an absolute lunatic.
